Clover USA » Make It » 9 patch diamonds and squares abstract table center piece

Clover USA » Make It » 9 patch diamonds and squares abstract table center piece
9 Patch can happen in all sorts of applications...  Here is a clever use of yo yo in varied
types of fabrics to include voile & cottons with the 9 patch clusters joined with juxtaposing
the squares and diamonds...  In this case I can share what the designer was thinking (cause I
designed it)..  I keep going back to it cause I'm not over wondering if it needs 'something else'
like the sheer black used as a single round around the the whole piece.  Pond
ering!!

Whitney Houston ~ R.I.P ~

Whitney, your gift of song was truly something special....  Thank you for sharing...

I've never been one to have a care for what a celebrity thinks or does...  however...  I can't imagine going to my x-wife's funeral...  and because there isn't room for my 9 person entourage, leaving!!!  bobby brown is a real POS...

YoYoYo

My Yo Yo designs shown on the Clover Site...

The top design is from a table runner I made for Mom's dining room table off the formal living room... For this I used  rich gold, creme and burgundy satins.

the top right piece is really fun to look at and is a candle mat with a twist...

This piece to the right is pretty big and interesting.
I was considering adding and edge in one color. I enjoy using chiffon type fabric for a hint of shine and glitz- this picture doesn't do the piece and justice.  Thank you to Clover for recognizing my work!!

Let me create a memory quilt for you or someone you love...

Do you have a tote somewhere in your home that holds cloth memories?? The kids baby clothes, hubby's frayed shirts, concert tee shirts,  a collection of bandannas, ties, favorite dresses that fit no longer or remnants of a sort... Why not turn them into a quilt, throw or sash to lay across your bed that you can see and touch every day or hang as a wall decoration to put a smile on your face every time you see it.. It's time to free that bin up for something else!  Clear your clutter.  Email me, Donnalee, and we can discuss your options... It's time, clear the cobwebs and move forward.  Cheers

Hello World

Sew much to do Sew little time...  BUT step by step...  Tell me how it is for you...  When life is a little 'rocky' at  home, do find designing to be a little less than satisfying??  For me it's like my mind enters a fog and the act of being creative kind of wanes...  Summarily being ineffective and lack luster...  What is it like for you??
Then when homelife is more harmonious I feel creativity so much easier...  How about you??
Feel free to share what you think, I'm just curious how it works for you...  Thanks !

Absenteeism

Greetings,
I've been kind of slow on the blog scene lately with regard to sewing that is....  I have been given a project to Tweet, blog and do social media for a gal that owns a company of food trucks...  That has really been a fun thing to do!!  Carefree Catering  in Las Vegas NV is the company...  If you're looking for a detour veer off and check out Carefree Catering, we're on Twitter, FB  and blogspot...  Tada....  It's been a fun escapade for me....

Burrito... Breakfast Burritos & Beef 'n' Bean Burrito... Yummmmmm

My husband makes burritos to die for...  He has really perfected his recipe then we team up and I make a salsa that compliments the burrito and we're off...  Recently, he has started making breakfast burritos.  He uses scrambled eggs with home fries, breakfast sausage and sometimes beans & salsa, sometimes not.  He'll make a whole bunch, wrap and freeze them for a quick satisfying meal on the run...  Now, just roll and enjoy!!

Loopy Flowers

7Ohfransson has a great tutorial on quilting loopy flowers on quilts...  she likes 6 petals and shows the 'how to's' of doing this successfully...  Whats cool is that it looks really nice and doesn't look at all fussy.  Very nice!!
